countries and more than 70 years of global
experience, McCann-Erickson is the leader in
multinational advertising, handling more global
accounts than any other ad agency. McCann-Erickson
finance department used the SAP BW to conduct
profitability analysis and generate management
reports. Changing parameters in the SAP system, such
as company hierarchy, cost center and profit center
structure could not be automatically propagated into
the BW thus required manual intervention and caused
data to become inconsistent and outdated. In
addition the quality of the reports was poor and
demanded days of manual design and programming
intervention to bring it to a presentable level.

builds online data into the OLAP cubes, performs
data cleansing, filtering, conversion, consolidation
and transformation to enable PowerOLAP best
performance of its analysis and reporting
capabilities.

Supply-Chain Subcontractors Collaboration
The company performs communication installations for
satellite TV through three subcontractors,
Communication Installations Servicing’ (CIS)
companies. Each of the subcontractors has access
through Internet Browser to the installation
management application of YES to receive work orders
installation’s status and other related information.
Subcontractors can’t change, add or delete anything
and can’t download the information from YES to their
internal management applications. Yes’s CIS
subcontractors print the work orders, sent it to the
field teams and in parallel typed the Work Orders
into their internal management applications, a
process that caused high manual labor expenses,
significant amount of errors and incapable of
following up with the high volume of changes. This
situation led to low customer retention, data
inconsistencies between subcontractors and YES and
loss of expensive raw material.

Technology on the
Solution
All information required from the web interface is
scraped and parsed into XML using Nipendo Beehive
toolkit. The XML’s generated from the web scraping
tools are processed through the Beehive to perform
the following tasks:

exceptions and notify accordingly
